Our Zoo Photoshoot
As a company we strive to look for new ideas and ventures that will make our couples wedding day extra special and something a little different.
From choosing the best local suppliers to finding new locations for the perfect wedding day for those seeking something a little different.
One of our new Fun and Adventure wedding ideas is to hold your wedding ceremony or photoshoot at Pafos Zoo with the giraffes or elephant.
Once the idea started flow, the ball was rolling, and we decided to create a styled shoot at Pafos Zoo to showcase what you can have for your special day. I, Hannah have always had a great love for giraffes, and jumped at the opportunity for myself and my husband to be the Bride and Groom for the destination wedding photoshoot which then became the most special renewal of vows for me and my husband.
It was perfect to see how the day would actually run and experience this ourselves with family and friends present. It was the most perfect memorable day.
Over six years ago our dream wedding was being planned with our ceremony with the giraffes at Pafos Zoo, but as life took hold, we somehow changed our dream wedding plans to a more traditional wedding.
Two years ago, we married at Geroskipou Town Hall, a small ceremony with our closest family and friends. We have never been ones to be in the limelight and wanted to do something low key that didn’t feel like work as my Mum and I are wedding planners.
Although our day was wonderful, there was always a small part of us wondering why we didn’t go for our dream ceremony at the zoo.
As we planned the styled shoot to promote Zoo Weddings everything fell into place that met our exact wedding plans from six years ago. We asked our recommended florist Annivia Weddings and Flowers to create a bouquet for the shoot and allowed them to choose the flowers in season at the time, only to find out they chose sunflowers which are my husbands favourite flower and were part of our original plans. Jo at Love Island Cakes created a beautiful single tier wedding cake elegantly decorated with a Giraffe print and macarons to match.
Once it was decided that we were going to be renewing our vows we had a call with Lynn Tomlin our wedding celebrant, she guided us through the whole process to create the perfect ceremony and experience exactly what our couples do, from first-hand experience I know how magical this feels. Lynn sent us questions individually and wrote our beautiful ceremony that was personal to us.
Going through each question she sent us we had the opportunity to look back over so many wonderful memories we have shared together as a couple, from thinking about what we most love about each other and how we mould together to make the perfect couple. This was such an intimate way to renew our love for each other once again. Lynn read through the ceremony with us the night before our special day there were all the emotions, from laughter to teary eyes that left us really excited to walk down the aisle and hear her beautiful words come to life with our guests.
Lynn even included a special surprise for all our guests to share our exciting news in a special and personal way that we are expecting our little baby Duffy in January 2022.
With Achilles as our special guest throughout our ceremony we had an amazing opportunity for once in a lifetime photoshoot as part of our wedding day. We then went with our guests to see and experience feeding her, everyone commented how AMAZING the day was for them to experience as well, in fact it has been talked about ever since!
If you are looking for something a little different, have a love for animals then Pafos Zoo is the perfect location to experience something magical with animals that are loved and truly cared for.
